Industry Alignment
The Chutzpah Factory Inc.'s courses elicit students' passions which they then commercialise and can then build vocational skills and career pathways.
The Certificate II in Entrepreneurship and Enterprise Skills is proving to be able to stream students into industry courses, traineeships and apprenticeships.
Students who love fixing bikes can move into mechanics, metalwork and engineering. Clothing designers can move into textiles, graphics and design. Music and event management students have been streamed into courses such as audio and sound engineering.
To be enterprising is knowing what it is you want to do vocationally then knowing how to get there!
The Chutzpah Factory Inc.'s enterprising students are more likely to succeed in industry as they have recognised their choice has direct benefit to their own passions and hobbies, and they have been skilled in recognising and evaluating opportunity, taking initiative and working autonomously.
The accredited courses and PhD based methodology have engendered broad industry involvement in the design, implementation and evaluation through the following:
- The Australian Quality Training Framework mandates comprehensive industry
consultation and collaboration throughout the accreditation process to ensure
that accredited courses are nationally recognised qualifications meeting industry
needs. EXI (Louise Earnshaw, courseware author and developer) achieved these
mandates through establishing
- The national Course Development Advisory Committee with key industry representation
- Industry research into course competency requirements
- Extensive national and international fieldwork undertaken during the company and the charity's development
- PhD research
Chutzpah Inc. is now actively working to broaden its links and relevance to Australian Industry, particularly into areas of national skills shortage.
Certificates in Entrepreneurship and Enterprise Skills can form the basis of collaborative partnerships with industry for training delivered through industry-relevant projects.
