Welcome
The Chutzpah * Factory College of Entrepreneurship Inc. (Chutzpah Inc.) is an innovative educational initiative established in 2002 as a result of the PhD research of Louise Earnshaw who found striking similarities - "The Chutzpah Factor" - between maverick or 'at-risk' youth and successful entrepreneurs.
The Chutzpah Factory was developed by Chutzpah Inc. as a model of partnering with community organisations and working with disengaged young people who have not performed well in mainstream education and training.
Students develop innovative business concepts to turn ideas into enterprise - which they activate and grow during and beyond their course enrolments.
A Certificate II in Entrepreneurship and Enterprise Skills is awarded to graduates, which is useful both in enterprise development and in the workplace. This means that they gain experience, skills and a qualification. Another exciting outcome is the re-engagement of young people with mainstream education.
Chutzpah Inc. works with partners and community organizations to establish their own Chutzpah Factory program. The program connects with disengaged young people to identify their passion and develop that into an enterprise. It then links these budding entrepreneurs with the world of business, providing nationally accredited training, together with mentoring, support, inspiration, networks and seed funds.
* Chutzpah, a multi faceted Yiddish expression meaning boldness, brazenness, gall and guts
